- Is SaveJar really free?
- Yes. Up to 3 jars, unlimited deposits and withdrawals, the 52-week challenge, the running total and reminders are free forever — nothing free is time-limited or ad-supported. The only paid feature is "SaveJar Unlimited", a one-time $2.99 purchase, not a subscription.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no login and no account anywhere in the app. Your data stays on your device (and, if you buy Unlimited, syncs only through your own private iCloud account).
- Does SaveJar connect to my bank?
- No. SaveJar is a manual tracker — you move real money yourself (a bank app, cash, a literal jar) and log it here in a few seconds. There is no bank linking of any kind.
- What happens if I fall behind on a weekly challenge?
- Every missed week stays visible individually in the challenge's "Due now" list — it never collapses into one row or silently resets. You can clear each one as you catch up, or clear every overdue entry in a single tap.
- Does SaveJar sync or share my data anywhere?
- SaveJar itself collects nothing and sends nothing to us — there is no analytics, no ads and no server of ours in the picture. The paid iCloud sync feature moves your data only between your own devices, through your own private iCloud account.
