SaveJar is a manual savings tracker built to work entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and collects no personal data about you.

What we collect

Nothing. SaveJar does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDK, no advertising, and no third-party tracking or data brokers. We do not know who you are or how you use the app.

Where your data lives

Every jar, deposit, withdrawal and challenge you create is stored in SaveJar's private storage on your iPhone. The app and its home-screen widget share this data through a private app group on your device; it is never uploaded to us or to any third party.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your device, your SaveJar data may be included in your personal encrypted Apple backup, under your control through your Apple account. This is handled entirely by Apple, not by us.

iCloud sync (paid feature)

SaveJar Unlimited includes an optional iCloud sync feature. When you turn it on, your jars, deposits and challenges are synced through Apple's CloudKit, using your own private iCloud database — the same one only your signed-in Apple account can access. This lets your own devices share your data with each other. We do not operate this database, cannot see its contents, and it is not "collected" by us in any sense — it is your data, moving between your own devices through Apple's infrastructure.

Financial data

SaveJar has no bank connection of any kind. Every amount you see in the app is one you typed in yourself, recording money you moved outside the app. SaveJar never reads, requests or transmits any real financial account information.

Reminders & notifications

If you allow notifications, SaveJar schedules reminder notifications locally on your device using iOS's notification system, for your jars' and challenges' due dates. There is no push server and no account — reminders never leave your iPhone.

Children

SaveJar is a general-audience finance app and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no personal data, any change is expected to be minor.
