- Is TipLog really free?
- Yes. Logging shifts, week/month/year totals, effective hourly wage and your full multi-year history are all free with no limits — not a demo. The only paid feature is Full Export: tax-year CSV/PDF export, the Home Screen widget and iCloud sync, a one-time $4.99 purchase, not a subscription.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. There is no sign-up, no login and no account anywhere in the app. Your shifts are stored on your device.
- How fast can I log a shift?
- Three taps from opening the app: date and hours default sensibly, then cash tips and card tips. Tip-out, notes and exact clock times sit under "more details" for when you want them.
- Can I still reach last year's data at tax time?
- Yes, for free. Every shift you've ever logged stays on your device, sorted by tax year, whether or not you've bought Full Export. The purchase adds CSV/PDF export of that history — it does not gate access to the history itself.
- What happens if I lose my phone or switch devices?
- If you've unlocked iCloud sync (part of Full Export), your shifts sync through your own private iCloud account and follow you to a new device. Sync is optional and off by default — TipLog never requires an account to keep your data.
