Privacy Policy

SeatPlan is built to plan one event, privately. The app runs on your device, has no accounts, and collects no personal data about you.

What we collect

Nothing. SeatPlan does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking or data brokers. We do not know who you are or how you use the app.

Where your data lives

Every event, table, guest and rule you create is stored in SeatPlan's private storage on your iPhone. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.

If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your plan is stored in your own private iCloud account and synced between your own devices through Apple's CloudKit. This is your data, in your iCloud account — we cannot see it, and Apple's handling of it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your SeatPlan data may also be included in your personal encrypted Apple backup.

Contacts

SeatPlan can import guests from your Contacts using Apple's own contact picker. You choose exactly which contacts to share; SeatPlan never sees your full address book, and the names and details you pick are copied into your event on your device only, the same as any guest you type in by hand. They are never sent to us.

CSV import

A CSV file you choose to import is read on your device to create guests in your event. The file itself is never sent anywhere.

Exporting

The PDF and image exports SeatPlan creates are generated on your device. What you do with an exported file — print it, share it, save it — is entirely up to you and happens outside the app.

Children

SeatPlan is a general-audience planning tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no personal data, any change is expected to be minor.
