Privacy Policy

Monthbook is built to keep your business records private. The app runs entirely on your device, and we never collect, transmit, or have access to your data.

What we collect

Nothing. Monthbook does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We have no servers that receive your information because the app has no servers at all.

Where your documents live

Every receipt, invoice, scan, and PDF you create stays in Monthbook's private storage on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see your documents, and they are never uploaded to us or anyone else.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your device, your Monthbook data may be included in your personal encrypted Apple backup, under your control through your Apple account. This is handled entirely by Apple, not by us.

Camera, Photos, and Files

• Camera — used only to scan documents when you tap Scan. Captured images are processed and saved on your device.
• Photos — when you import an image, iOS gives the app access only to the items you explicitly choose. We never browse your photo library.
• Files — when you import a PDF, you select the specific file. We have no other access to your files.

On-device processing

Scanning, image cleanup, text recognition, and PDF creation all happen locally on your device using Apple frameworks. None of this content leaves your device during processing.

Sharing

When you export a month or a document, Monthbook creates a PDF and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. From there you decide where it goes — email, Files, AirDrop, or another app. Once you share a file outside Monthbook, that destination's own privacy terms apply.

Children

Monthbook is intended for business use and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no data, any change is expected to be minor.
