Privacy Policy

MedProof (on-device name DoseCheck) is built to answer one question — did they take it today? — without collecting anything about you to do it. The app runs on your device, has no accounts, and collects no personal data.

What we collect

Nothing. MedProof does not collect personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. We do not know who you are, who you have linked, or how you use the app.

Where your data lives

Every medicine, schedule, and confirmed dose you record is stored on your iPhone. If you create a family link, that data is written to your own private iCloud account and shared, through Apple's CloudKit sharing, directly with the family member you invite — never to a server we run. We have no server for this app at all, so there is nowhere for your data to go but your own and your family member's iCloud accounts.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your MedProof data may be included in your personal encrypted Apple backup, under your control through your Apple account. This is handled entirely by Apple, not by us.

The family link

Linking a family member's phone uses a native Apple CKShare invite — a link you send yourself, the same way you'd share a note or a photo album. Accepting it lets that one phone read (and, when you confirm on their behalf, write) the medication schedule and confirmations in your private CloudKit zone. You can revoke this from either phone at any time, which immediately stops any further sharing.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, MedProof schedules medication reminders locally on the device taking the medicine, and schedules alert checks on a linked family member's device using Apple's push notification service purely to wake the app to check for a late or unconfirmed dose. No notification content is ever sent through or stored on a server we operate.

Medical disclaimer

MedProof records only what you or your family tell it. It does not diagnose anything, does not check drug interactions, and does not give dosage advice. For any medical question, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.

Children

MedProof is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we will post the updated version on this page with a new date. Since the app collects no personal data, any change is expected to be minor.
